Darmith the Eternal

Yesterday I was thinking of how I don't have an excuse for why Benitiote uses male pronouns and the fact I had a dragon oc I have not done anything with I decided to use that dragon to my advantage. Also seeing how I now had Firealpaca I may as well test it's power on an oc I could not draw in MS paint due to how it was made (it was an adopt)

Orginally it was meant to be a Nightwing from the book Wings of Fire but I decided not to do anything with that due to the book's current story arc, I bought the oc for personal use but I had no idea what to do with him until now. I might do an AU for Wings of Fire but once again need this the 2nd arc to finish before I can plan stuff. Anyways enough about what Darmith isn't, let me get me get to what he is


Darmith was a shaman for a tribe of dragons on the planet Ziolara, He had foresaw an omen which states "In a thousand passings of the seasons a threat from beyond the stars shall fall upon the world, the only way for the ones of this land to survive is to bind their souls to stone." of course everyone laughed this off as nonsense as more often then not his prophecies fail to come true. A thousand years pass and sure enough the Gems come down from space and started setting up Kindergartens, the dragons attacked the invaders but were easily dealt with. Darmith however didn't die, using his magic and with the help from an anonymous gem he was able to bind his soul to a stone in his chest to more or less gain all the powers a gem would have thus being able to trick gemkind to think he was one of them.  


Few Hundred/Thousand (bit vague due to not knowing how long it takes for gems to come out of the ground) years later Darmith is all alone and looking up at a clear starry sky, when out of the blue he heard something outside. Once he headed to the source of the crash, there he finds a young male dragon with blue scales and a gem in his chest, was this a member of his tribe that had somehow survived and actually heeded his warning? He asked them however they could not give a proper reply as he had no memory of anything prior to being found, because of this the Shaman gave him the name Benelth and took him under his wing. The next few thousand years Darmith began to teach Benelth about the world, however one day the purple dragon was flying and found a kindergarten a bit away from where he found Ben and noticed how the holes in the ground were awfully similar to those of the gems. (minus the shape of course) When he returned and spoke with Benelth he felt outrage and betrayed after all they had been though for him to just to assume he's one of the enemy, of course the only way to settle thing was to do a ritual to prove it once and for all. Sure enough with a little bit of magic he was able to prove that the blue dragon was no dragon at all, He of course was heartbroken by this new. Darmith then told him it would be best for him to live among his own kind and told him where a nearby Gem residence was, Benelth refused to go but eventually caved in when he remembered he could visit whenever he wished. So they hugged goodbye and Benelth was on his way, he visited every hundred years or so but for the most part Darmith was now alone on planet Ziolara (well there are still the gems but they don't go near his mountain often- if at all)
